Gregory James Obituary
Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rupp Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. He will lie in state at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Born September 12, 1980 in Toledo, OH, Greg was the son of Ronald and Mary Sue (Cook) James. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1999 and married Jennifer J. Hinkley on December 27, 2013 in Ypsilanti, MI.
Greg was a proud journeyman of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 169, Detroit. He worked for multiple contractors in Detroit area steel mills and especially enjoyed rigging of massive high elevation renovations.
Whether snowmobiling, motorcycling or boating, Greg enjoyed any sport that included a fast motor. He was also an avid football fan. His favorite teams included the University of Michigan, Detroit Lions, and New England Patriots. He was especially hoping to see Tom Brady win a 6th championship in the upcoming Super Bowl.
Greg is survived by his wife Jennifer of Ida; parents, William and Mary Sue Terrasi of Monroe; two sons, Jacob Thomas James and Jordan William James; three sisters, Rebecca Ann (Lev) Gartman of New Jersey, Amy Catherine Terrasi of Brownstown, and Elizabeth Mary (Gabriel) Giarmo of Monroe.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Ronald.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family.

We miss you Greg!
Greg did summer "pick-up" work at the horse stables where his Uncle Joe lives. He still holds the record for cleaning 68 stalls one evening, where other workers could only do 20 or 30 in an entire day. He was a hard worker when he put his mind to it!

John enjoyed working as a Boilermaker with Greg whenever he got the chance. Marysue and I (cousins) gave birth the same day both boys just hours apart. Our grandmother (Theresa) was so proud to have her first great grandsons. Greg will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
