John David Dusseau Obituary
John David Dusseau, age 70, of Monroe, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Born August 6, 1948 in Monroe, he was the son of the late Gerald F. and Razora "Mary" Dusseau. John was a graduate of Monroe High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. On October 31,1986, John married the love of his life, Cathleen Pribyl. He made his living of 37 years as a Millwright for the Ford Motor Company's Rawsonville plant and was a member of the UAW local 898
John was a simple man who would do anything for his wife and children. John took great pride in his yard where he loved to spend time. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working, gardening, fishing, playing pool, country drives and watching old television shows.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife of 32 years, Cathleen: two daughters; Michelle (Michael) Hart of Washington DC and Nicole (Lenny) Dusseau of St. Clair Shores: a son, John B. Dusseau of Missouri: a brother, Bernard (Donna) Dusseau: two sisters; Patricia Lozano and Linda Niezgoda: four grand children; Jose Maldonado, Jeremy Hart, Estacia Obeshaw and Astraya Clifton: and one great-grandson, Micah Maldonado.
John was preceded in death by his parents: a daughter, Jonna DeAnne Dusseau; and a sister, Mary Lou Runyon.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, September 9th from 1 until 4 pm. at Rupp Funeral home. A service will take place at 4pm. with Chaplain Mike Gilbert officiating and Military Honors will be presented.
