Luther Joe "Luke" Fultz, II, age 35 of Newport, died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Beaumont Southshore Hospital, Trenton, due to injuries he sustained in a work-related accident.
Family and friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Rev. Johnny Fultz, pastor of Rockwood Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at LaSalle Township Cemetery.
Born May 12, 1981 in Trenton, he was the son of Luther and Reba (Doty) Fultz. He married Bethany M. Bondy on June 2, 2007 in Union Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Luke attended Monroe Public Elementary Schools and was a 2000 graduate of Airport High School. His hobbies included welding, barbecuing, vegetable gardening, and playing his guitar. Luke took great pride in his trade as a Journeyman Boilermaker and was employed through Local 169 Detroit.
Luke is survived by his wife Bethany and their two children, Luther Joe, III and Emma Jean; his mother Reba of Carleton; four siblings, Kevin (Diane) Fultz of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Amy Fultz of Tazewell, Tennessee, Melanie Rice of Tazewell, Tennessee, and Josh (Jeannie) Fultz of S. Rockwood.
Luke was preceded in death by his father, Luther; a son, Stephen Michael Fultz; and his grandparents.
