March 16, 1932 ~ February 16, 2013

Carmel Valley Ê- Always an enthusiast for life, Bryan Epps made his transition after a valiant struggle with cancer. Bryan had a joyful & unlimited effervescence in all aspects of his life; through his humor, singing Barbershop, work, tennis & travel. He was born in San Francisco, CA and resided on the Monterey Peninsula since 1968. He was a graduate of UC Berkeley, and then obtained his Doctorate in Theology from Boston University. He was an Army Chaplain, serving two years in Frankfurt, Germany.Ê

He took great pride and care in helping his clients obtain appropriate insurance coverage by Blue Cross/ Blue Shield on the Monterey Peninsula since 1975.

Dr. Epps retired from the Army Reserve as Colonel in March, 1992.

Bryan loved his work throughout his life, and even more, loved those who survive him: his wife, Sharon; his daughter and son-in law, Christa and Greg Patton; his grandchildren, Chelsea and Garrett Patton; his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Mitchell and Ron Gandelman; and his many friends, most especially his fellow Barbershop singers.

He will be missed by all those who felt the power of his affection. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at The Christian Church of Pacific Grove, 442 Central Ave, Pacific Grove, CA. Those who knew and admired him are welcome to attend.
