Captain Anthony J. Klapp (USN, RET)

PEBBLE ?BEACH – After a lengthy decline in health, Captain Anthony J. Klapp (USN, Ret.), passed away peacefully in the company of his son, Kevin on Sunday evening, August 4, 2013. His first wife, Sally Klapp, passed away in 2001. He is survived by his twin brother, Michael Klapp; his sons from his first marriage, Kevin and Scott Klapp; his second wife, Lucy Klapp; grandchildren, Cassandra, Anthony and Nicholas Klapp; as well as two nephews and three nieces. Anthony was a graduate of Iowa State University and Naval Post Graduate School. He served as a Naval Aviator and retired as a Captain, continuing on in Civil Service. He was active in the Catholic Church and Boy Scouts of America.
A Mass celebrating his life will be held at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey at 9:30am on Monday, September 9, 2013. A remembrance will follow at the Klapp home in Pebble Beach.
