SACRAMENTO, CA – Paul Tatsuo Kawamoto, age 78, passed away December 26, 2013 at the Livermore VA Hospital. He was born November 28, 1935 in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. Mr. Kawamoto was a resident of Sacramento for the past 14 years, and previously resided in the Monterey area. Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Theresa of Manteca; his children, Rick of Gilroy, Suzette of Marina, and Shannon of Manteca. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Brian and Kurtis Cheng. Paul is also survived by his brother, Roy of Kaneohe, HI.
Paul served in the U.S. Army for 22 years. During this time he was awarded the Bronze Star
Medal and the Purple Heart
for his service in the Vietnam War
. He retired as a Platoon SFC, Specialist.
Paul dedicated his life to the Lord in 1984; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00pm at Faith Tabernacle Church, 2911 Rio Linda Blvd., Sacramento. The final resting place will be San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
