Peter Balesteri

Peter Salvatore Balesteri November 20, 1929-November 13, 2004 Peter Salvatore Balesteri a life long resident of Monterey passed away on November 13, 2004. Peter was born on November 20, 1929 to Jack and Eleanor Balesteri and lived on the peninsula his entire life. He was employed as a fisherman in Alaska and on the Monterey Bay. He was also a laborer for the Local 297 Union for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and humoring them with his jokes, traveling to Las Vegas and watching baseball. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Lynette and his 8 children. Marie Elena Evans (Dave), Sally Balesteri, Linda Davis, Peter Balesteri, Teri Carpenter, John Balesteri, Matt Sunseri (Diana) and Amy Alvarez (Osmin). His brother James Balesteri (Angela), 12 grand children, 6 great grand children, a niece and nephew also survive him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 17, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday November 18, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Rosalia Chapel, San Carlos Cemetery. Memorials is his name can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Donors favorite charity.
