Stuart B. Walzer(1924 - 2013)

MONTEREY –Stuart B. Walzer, Age 88, Died in Monterey, California on May 8, 2013. Born on July 12, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Leo and Frieda Walzer. He is survived by his wife Paula Silverston Walzer who he married on December 2, 1952; brothers James and Irwin Walzer; Sons: Peter and his wife Faye, David, Andrew, and Lloyd and his wife Rebecca, Grandchildren: Sarah, Graham, Emma, Hannah, Naomi, Andito, and Frieda.
He served in the US Army, 1943-1945, Private First Class, Infantry, Bronze Star Medal & Bronze Star Medal w/1st Leaf Cluster.. UCLA, 1948. Harvard Law School, 1951. He was a director of the Carmel Public Library Foundation and Legal Services for Seniors. He founded the So Cal Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He was a Master Gardener. He led several book groups in the Monterey area and he founded the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Lawyer's Literary Society. He was partner in the firms known as Walzer, Weinstock, and Manion, Walzer & Gabrielson, and Walzer & Walzer. Donations in Stuart's name to Salk Institute for Biological Studies for Alzheimer's research, Arboretum at UCSC, or AAMLFoundation are appreciated. There will be a memorial service at La Mirada at 720 La Mirada, Monterey, CA between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2013.
