SEASIDE - Thelma passed away peacefully at her home with her family & friends beside her on February 13. Thelma was born in South Wales, England. She was the eldest of four girls, Margaret, Betty (deseased) and Brenda. In 1946 Thelma arrived in New York, then moved to California in the late 1950's. She worked at the Casa Abrego Women's Club in Monterey for over 35 years, and owned with her husband Leo the 726 Club in Seaside for 20 years.
Thelma's happiest times were going to work at the Casa everyday up until last May when she began her battle with cancer. Thelma could not wait to get well and go back to work but unfortuanately that time never came.
