Vesta Redmond

PACIFIC GROVE – Vesta passed away on July 25, 2013. She was born 98 years ago in Burbank where she attended UCLA and where she married David, a geologist. They traveled the world together. They lived in Bogota, Colombia for 5 years and lived 15 years in Saudi Arabia.
After David's death in 1975, she went on many Elder hostel trips.
Vesta taught school in Glendale and was a school librarian in Arabia. She enjoyed golf and was a member of The 9 Hole Group and The Women's group.
She was a volunteer at the central office of Alcoholics Anonymous for 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Redmond and her loving husband, David.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Hobbs (Bill), grand-daughter; Malia Winningham(Rob) and great -grand-daughter; Emma Winningham.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at St.Francis Xavier church at 1475 La Salle Ave, Seaside.
