Walt was a great part of my growing up on Paso Hondo. Lots of good hunts. Awesome gunsmith.

Whenever a Purple Heart Patriot leaves us, we know, only too well that sacrifice made for his comrades, his loved ones and his Nation. Our members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 549 Monterey Bay render a final Salute. Respectfully, Gerald Pitman - Commander MOPH Ch. 549

Having been hired on the Sheriff's Dept. in 1968 I had the occasion to know Walt. He was great to talk to, and I have many good memories of him.

I knew Walt as a casual friend and co-worker. I guess it is only in the obit that you learn much more. Another "Good Guy" gone Bud Cook - Sheriff (Ret.)

Walt was a veteran deputy when I came aboard MCSD. We went on many SAR missions together. My strongest memory of those missions was that Walt could just keep on going, whether hiking a trail or climbing a rope. He was one of those legends who made MCSD what it is.

We are a group of lucky neighbors that "inherited" Walt's family ranch at the southern end of the Carmel Highlands, and I was the lucky person to get to be connected to him and to learn of the amazing history of Walt and the Victorino family. Walt was the truly one of the "greatest generation". I know that Walt is in a wonderful place....and looking down on all of us with that mischievous smile and twinkle in his eye! Cheers and love to you Walt!

Grew up just down the street from the Victorine family. Walt was the kindest man. His son Joe and my brother Tim were good friends. Prayers to the family as they grieve his passing.

My sympathies to the Victorine family. Although I did not know Walter, I was compelled to send my sympathies as I too am a Victorine, and noticed the passing of Walter. May he be at peace, and hope the family finds comfort with their memories of Walter.

I met Walter in 2010 when I was doing family history. I had a wonderful time learning about my Great Great Grandfather Antonio Victorine. What a story teller Walter was, he gave me so much information on the family history. We sat at the table and Walter had all the photo's I needed to complete the family history. We made many phone calls to each other, laughing about being our long lost cousins. He was such a jolly man, I know he will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers go out to Marilyn and family. R.I.P. My friend, you did touch my life.
