James Alexander Menczkowski Obituary
SPOKANE, WA – James Alexander Menczkowski passed away on June 22, 2013 at his home. Born May 20, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas, he became a long time resident of the Monterey Peninsula in 1965 where he was a master cabinet maker until retiring to the Northwest three years ago. He loved the challenge of perfecting a dovetail joint and was a true artist as seen in his cabinetry, home building, gardening and handmade furniture. With a great sense of humor and generous heart, James had many friends. He had a fascination with everything maritime and after serving in the Navy, was never far from the water. He loved to fish and was an excellent cook. He leaves behind his daughter, Michelle Menczkowski; mother, Mrs. John Menczkowski; sisters, Anna Dean, Mary Madden, Olava Menczkowska and brother, John Menczkowski; an aunt, Mrs. Joseph Cierniak; and nieces, Mrs. Brian (Kimberly) Johnson and Natalie Madden. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels.
