Growing up in Texas, Uncle Cappy was far away and I didn't get to know him as well as I would have liked. But, from my memories and visits to Carmel & Monterey, he was always a joy to visit. Elizabeth and family, I send my deepest sympathies, and know he will be missed. He leaves a great legacy, and is with friends and family. I know my dad, Stewart is glad to see him. God bless.

And when our work is done,
Our course on Earth is run,
May it be said: "Well done,
Be thou at peace."
Farewell to a true gentleman and friend.
All our thoughts and prayers to Liz and all the family, which we consider as our own.

Taylor and I have such fond memories of Cappy. He was a true gentleman with a great sense of community. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His home and his office always had an open door. Best wishes to Liz and the family during this difficult time. We are thinking of you.

And if I go
While you are still here
know that I live on,
vibrating to a different measure,
behind a veil you cna not see through;
You will not see mee so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest and whenever you need me, just whisper my name in your heart and I will be there.
He is.

My love to Liz and the whole family! One of my fondest childhood memories has always been deer hunting with Daddy, and Cappy. I am sure that Daddy welcomed Cappy with open arms....It does make one wonder now that they are in heaven together what they are discussing!

I haven't heard the word "Cappy" since my dad called you that the last time I saw you in front of your office. You and your dad were our frinds when we worked at for the City of Monterey and in the Elks. You were a good man from a prominent old time Monterey County family.
