Eric Duane Holland
January 11, 1977 ~ March 28, 2013
PACIFIC ?GROVE – Eric Duane Holland, 36, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, March 28, 2013. Eric was a loving father, a role model to his friends and an anchor of support to his fiancée and family. He was born January 11, 1977 in Monterey, California and was raised from age 2 ½ to early adulthood in Jamestown, North Carolina. Eric had been employed at various customer service jobs in the area where his out-going personality and winning smile drew people to him, but he will be remembered most from his employment at Monterey Bay Aquarium, Round Table Pizza, Safeway and Circle K.
Mr. Holland was very well known by many on the Peninsula, from his big smile, down-to-earth demeanor and charitable ways. He never judged others, simply lent an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. Nobody was a stranger; he cared for the homeless, never hesitated to help a friend in need and he placed his family above all.
He shared the last 11 years with his fiancée, Katrina Moulton. He is survived by his three daughters, Honey Brown, Destinee and Felicia Holland; his mother, Linda James; sister, Ericka James (Terry); nephew, Terry James, Jr.; grandparents, Colon and Lelia James; and his large extended family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 401 Pine Street in Pacific Grove on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been established at Chase Bank under Katrina Moulton for donations for the educational needs of his three daughters.
