James G. Farrow Obituary
Dr. James (Jim) G. Farrow departed this life peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 20, 2013 in Boone, NC.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 39 years, Anne Farrow; four beautiful daughters, Remona Lee Farrow, of Menlo Park, CA, Michelle Albertin of Switzerland, Jennifer West of Santa Cruz, CA, Jamie Johnson of Salinas, CA; his step mother, Mertie Farrow and step brother, Gary Wallace, both of Murray, Ky; a brother, Michael Farrow of Columbus, MS, and 6 wonderful grandchildren.
Jim was born in Paducah, Kentucky on August 11, 1944. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Medicine, and had a Gastroenterology practice in Monterey for over 20 years. Jim retired from the military with the rank of Lt. Colonel after 20 years of service to his country.
The fullness of Jim's life and devotion to helping others was expressed perfectly in his years of work with the Art of Living Foundation. Traveling extensively, he dedicated countless hours internationally and locally to elevating the human spirit and improving the quality of life of others.
A memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Carmel Valley Trail and Saddle Club, 85 E. Garzas Road, Carmel Valley. Please bring a dish to share. Children are welcome.
