John Donald Wise

Monterey
John D. Wise born, August 9th 1926, passed away at age 91, November 26th 2017 after several years of failing health.
Born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania he moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1948. After boot camp at Fort Ord and a brief stint in the army John began his career as a carpenter; working most of those years for the Comstock Company building custom homes in Carmel.
After a divorce in 1971 he soon met Edie Brown; his companion for 35 years until her death in 2009. He was also preceded in death by our mother Ruth Wise.
He is survived by his children Patrice, Jim (wife Darlene), Bob, and Keith; also Edie's children: Ginnie (Chuck) Bosso, and Roy (Kas) Brown; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
At our fathers request there will be no services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with his family.
