Matthew Finnigan Obituary

Monterey - Matthew Finnigan passed away early Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, 2010. He will be severely missed by the hundreds of people he touched in his life. Matthew is survived by his sister, Katie and brother, Michael, both of Arcata, CA; and his mother and father, Tish and Tim Finnigan of Walnut Creek, CA.
Memorial Services will be held at noon, Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Casa Munras Hotel, Marbella Room, 700 Munras Ave., Monterey, CA. Rosary and visitation are from 6:00 p,m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Wilson & Kratzer Chapel on 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA with a memorial service at noon, Sunday, October 3, 2010 followed by a reception at his parents' house. In lieu of flowers, the Finnigan Family requests donations to the "Matthew Paul Finnigan Memorial Scholarship Fund", P.O. Box 1243, Alamo, CA 94507.

Just heard about Matthews passing my son James and I will miss him can't stop crying we hoped he would be part of our lives much longer can't stop thinking about how good and kind he was. We love you Matthew.

Matthew, a beautiful soul, impactful warm heart, dear friend, brilliant mind, and much more, you will be forever missed, the world had a beautiful gift taken before the fruits were able to fully ripen, but the seeds are still there. an empty spot once filled by an enormous light is present, I hope it can be filled again by the love you left us with, when we can feel again, and water the seeds you once shared with us.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Matthew's passing. As one of his former teachers in the TOPS Program, I had the pleasure of working with him. He was a very special young man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
