Ray "Spats" Lucido
March 12, 1915 ~ January 21, 2012
Monterey - Ray was taken peacefully by the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012, after a long illness. He was born in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily, the first of four children to Marco & Francesca Lucido.
He was a life long resident of the Monterey Peninsula and worked in the fishing industry, from Alaska to Mexico, for over 60 years.
He is survived by his daughters: Francesca Bongiorno (Frank) and Dyanne Mondragon (Paul); three grandchildren: Matthew Bongiorno (Christyne), Carmella Bongiorno, Nicole Loos (Tony); and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Francis Russo and Betty Lucido, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Geri Klarich, and his brother, Sarino.
A private service has already been held by Mission Mortuary.
