PAHOA, HI - Lisa Marie Lera-Vernon entered into eternal peace at age 53 on Thursday October 4, 2012. Lisa was born in Santa Barbara, raised in Sunnyvale, and eventually raised her own family in Pacific Grove. Lisa spent over 20 years working for Wells Fargo Bank in Pacific Grove, where she helped many people in their financial and personal lives. She was also a prominent member of St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove, serving on the finance council and helping establish the church golf tournament. Lisa also served as treasurer in the early years of the Monterey Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, becoming known throughout the U.S. and Canada for her baked goodies. She was active in her children's schools, particularly with the music programs, and served as official scorekeeper for many baseball and softball teams. She is survived by her husband, James "Mick" Vernon; daughter, Lianna Roberts (Ethan and grandson, Eli); son, Tucker Vernon (Jessica); mother, Joanne Lera; brother, Ronald Lera, Jr. (Tracey and children, Aimee and Ronnie Jo); and sister, Gina Englund (Dean).

Services will be held at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 12:00pm. Memorial reception will immediately follow at a private home. Her ashes will be scattered at sea by immediate family, where she will join her father, the late Ronald Lera, Sr.

Memorial donations may be sent to a favorite local charity or The Salvation Army.
