. Anne faithfully took care of the home and family in every place and circumstance. Living and traveling all over the U.S. and Europe they shared with their children - a love of adventure and the outdoors.
Walter retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1970 and the family settled in Pacific Grove. Together they opened Bavarian Imports in Carmel and later Flemat Wholesale Imports in Pacific Grove. Walter also managed the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce for several years. Always generous they made room for friends at the dinner table and never turned away a stray animal. They will be greatly missed by their children, Tom (Bobbie), Lynn (Chuck), Amy (Adrian), Richard (Heidi), David (Tina), Daniel (Julie); 15 grandkids, 13 great grandkids and Suzy the Saint Bernard.
