Michael A. Givhan, 49, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, took his journey home after a brief illness at a local hospital on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lilly Baptist Church, 820 Hill Street, Montgomery, Alabama with Pastor Thomas E. Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, 9504 U.S. Hwy 331, Montgomery, Alabama with Phillips Riley directing.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted mother, Dilsie M. Givhan; two sisters, Valerie K. Givhan and Brenda J. Givhan of Montgomery, AL; four brothers, Eddie L. Givhan Jr., Rickey J. Givhan, Gerri V. Givhan all of Montgomery, AL and Leonardo D. Givhan Sr. of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Kaseko Givhan, Antonio Givhan, Leonardo Givhan Jr., Nathan Givhan, Vincent Cobb and Edderon Woods; nieces, Jasmine Heard, Felicia Cobb, Sonya Bennett, Tiana Givhan, and Shenekqua Woods; aunts, Addie Myrick, Brenda Hicks, and Belinda Covington; great-aunt and great-uncle Lillie and James Warner; sister-in-law, Tomekia Givhan; special friends Delayne Riley, Denise Riley-Mitchell, Lillie Brown, Sonia Hinson, and Mary McBride; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
