Paul, as he was always known to me & my German wife Gerda, will be greatly missed. He was a stellar US Army Officer and we should never for his military service. He was my boss, mentor, and hero when I was 19 years old and serving in the US Army in Germany in 1964. He met and treated my soon to be wife Gerda as though she was his own daughter. Gerda & I went on to be married, have two daughters Heidi & Anna (one who was also married in the Darmstadt Military Chapel), lived all over the globe for 30 years, including a break in service, and retired as a Colonel in Summer 1998. v/r, Dr Dan Hatton Colonel, US Army & Frau Gerda Hatton (the first female pilot from her native home of Griesheim/Darmstadt, Germany
