POCKRUS, Brenda Hope Howard Pockrus, age 66, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away February 26, 2013. She was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 19, 1946. She was a devoted follower of Christ, loving wife to Waymon Pockrus for 37 years, and loving mother to Stacy Thornton and Jennifer Rice. She was dearly loved by and dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her father, George Breedlove Howard Jr. and mother, Nancy Bernice Whitehurst Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Waymon Pockrus of Montgomery, Alabama and daughters, Stacy Thorn Thornton (Doug) of Wetumpka, Alabama, Jennifer Thorn Rice (Fred) of Frankfort, Illinois, her lovingly adored grandchildren, Hope Thornton and Grace Thornton, sister, Charlotte Hellums Pilgram (Billie) of Montgomery, Alabama, and brother, George "Buddy" Breedlove Howard, III (Fran) of Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on March 2 at 2:00 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Hellums, Garrett Woodall, Cole Woodall, Steve Thornton, Colton Spackman, Justin Harborth, and Jack Howard.

Brenda was a light that shines thru her God,Family and Friends. My heart and soul are so broken! To Waymon, Jennifer, and Stacy , and her wonderful extented Famiily we all have been so blessed to have been loved by her.
