PATTON, ANNIE Annie Laura Crittenden Jones Patton, 92, a resident of Greenville, AL completed her mission on this earth and was welcomed into Heaven's gates on Thursday, June 25, 2015. The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Jones- Patton will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at 1:00pm at Butler Chapel AME Zion Church, 401 Olgesby Street, Greenville AL with Rev. Robert L. Shuford officiating. Massey Memorial Funeral Home, 3048 Dorchester Drive, Montgomery, Alabama 36116 directing. There will be no viewing at the funeral home. She will lie in state from 11:00am till 1:00pm at the church. Graveside services will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons: Kenneth (Jean), Montgomery, AL; Elston (Jasmine), Dothan, AL; Bertram (Tandra), Montgomery, AL and Hanford (Brenda), Huntsville, AL; one sister, Willie Eva (Vince) Peagler, Sharon, PA; one brother, Jack P. (Agnita) Crittenden, Montgomery, AL; extended family Paul Edward (Johnnie Mae) Jones, Greenville, AL. The family is asking in lieu of flowers send donations to Butler Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church's Christian Education Department Sunday School.

Harris, Benny  
Benny Harris was born April 28, 1955. He departed this life early Monday morning, June 22, 2015 at the age of 60. Benny is survived by his devoted wife, Glenda Dorriety Harris and loving daughter, Andrea Nicole Harris to cherish his memory. Benny also leaves behind his beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lowell Harris, younger sister, Charlene Harris (Roger) Yeargan, and many more loving family members. Though Benny had many great passions in his life, his faith surpassed them all. He was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Prattville. Benny devoted his life to his walk with Christ and dedicated his days to his Lord and Savior. He was an inspiration to many and an outstanding pillar of the community. He was an active and loyal member of the Gideon Bible Society; Autauga and Chilton Counties Genealogy Society; and many civic organizations. Benny, who was a proud Eagle Scout, never turned down an opportunity to engage himself in the Boy Scouts of America. He also volunteered many hours to the Sons of the American Revolution. He recently received an award from the Sons of Confederate Veterans for a Brigade Level Meritorious Service after his work aiding the restoration of Indian Hill Cemetery. Benny was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Mr. Rheubin Scott, Ms. Pearl Foshee Scott, Mr. & Mrs. Lowell Harris. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 in the evening located at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, AL. Funeral services will be held on the afternoon of Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 2:30 at First Baptist Church of Prattville, beginning with a visitation from 1:00-2:15. He will be laid to rest at Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prattville First Baptist Church, Benny Harris Mission Fund. MCFARLAND, William Bartley, Jr., 82, resident of Marbury, AL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Prattville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. McFarland created the Autauga County Retired Teachers Foundation, President of ACERA 2011-2013, Faithful Navigator of Knights of Columbus, Retired from 18 years of teaching in 1992, 4 years principal of Prattville High School. He served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant after 22 years. He also was a committed volunteer to the Veteran's Administration of Tuskegee and Montgomery and longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. McFarland is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marie McFarland; three sons, Stephen (Diane) McFarland, Neil (Kathy) McFarland and Colin McFarland; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; extended family and many friends.
