ArWilma "Wilma" S. Baker Collins. This is to announce the passing of Mother Wilma S. Baker Collins, formally of Auburn, Alabama. ArWilma S. Baker Collins was born to the late Fletcher and Fannie Shelton of Tuskegee, AL on July 12, 1921. She was the last living family member of this union.
Mother Collins began her career as a student of the State Teachers College (currently Alabama State University). In later years she worked as a Caterer, cook and baker for shops near Auburn University. For those who knew her, we all knew she could "throw down". Auburn was her home for many years during her marriage to Rev. Clark Baker, whom preceded her in death. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends throughout the United States including God son Harry Williams of San Francisco will always cherish her memories.
Mother Collns Sunset was January 11, 2014 in San Francisco, Calif. Her final resting place will be Auburn, Alabama.
