Knapp, Mrs. Florine Fontaine, age 82, a long-time resident of Millbrook, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 10, 2013 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, 11 AM at Millbrook Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Ingram officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Knapp worked for the Department of Human Resources for the State of Alabama for over 25 years. She was a long time and faithful member of Millbrook Baptist Church and sang in the choir until the onset of her illness. She loved both her biological family, her church family and was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. We will all miss her and her sour cream pound cakes! Mrs. Knapp is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Joseph Knapp, son, William Frederick (Freddy) Knapp. She is survived by one daughter, Jan (Charles) Knight of Millbrook, AL; two sons, Randy (Melanie) Knapp of Deatsville, AL; and Herman (Kim) Knapp of Loxley, AL; 5 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Nathan Knapp, Towney Knapp, Trent Deason, Mark Grimes, Phil Parker and Ken Yancey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you makes donations to your church, a world missions organization or the Building Renovation Fund at Millbrook Baptist Church.
