MORRIS, Phillip Ray, 61, of Haleyville, Alabama and a former Prattville area resident, passed away April 2, 2014. Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday April 6th at 1:00 PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with Pastors Sherman Kimbrew and Rick Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church cemetery in Verbena. For fourteen years, Phillip was a Human Resources representative with the Kith Kitchens Company and was one of the first employees hired when the company was founded. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and spent many enjoyable hours doing woodwork. Phillip loved to fish and taught many a young angler his tips for catching fish which included "spittin' on the hook" for luck. He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte of Haleyville; Two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg and Julie Blankenship of Montgomery, DeWayne Blankenship of Millbrook; a sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Steve Moore of Prattville, David and Rebecca Morris of Mobile, Ernest and Debra Morris of Prattville; eight grandchildren, Koty Blankenship, Landyn Blankenship, Garrett Miller, Hunter Miller, Mark Barnes, Angela Barnes, Clay Hackleman and Gracie Hackleman; a sister-in-law, Brenda Kelly of Millbrook, Alabama; a brother-in-law, Harold Cason of Slapout, Alabama and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
