I remember when Virginia won the Alabama Maid of Cotton Contest. I even remember what she wore -- a beautiful, dressy turquoise suit with small hat to match. Can still visualize her in it with that blonde hair and blue eyes like Homers and her folks. I have fond memories with that family from many years ago. My condolences to Virginia's family.

I met Virginia through volleyball at the YMCA. We played together for years. Always looked forward to seeing her. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Rest in peace Virginia.
