Bradford, Lillie Mae

BRADFORD, Ms. Lillie Mae, 88, was born October 1, 1928 in Montgomery, AL, exchange time for eternity on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Lillie was a Pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement who was one of the first Pioneer to refuse to go to the back of the bus in the 1950's and was arrested for her efforts. Services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Phillips-Riley Funeral Home, 2284 W. Fairview Ave, Montgomery, AL 36108 with her nephew, Minister Gary Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Serenity Gardens with the staff of Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing. Lillie is survived by her sister, Helen Bradford and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 12:00 Noon - 7:00

Celebrating a Life well lived. Lillie thanks for everything words can't express how much you will be missed and I can't thank you enough for all that you did. You have been more than a great aunt to Stebo & Toi. I will miss all of our talks about politics, entertainment, sports and anything else that I wanted to talk about.
