Rickie was a lovely lady. I saw her most every day of the week while researching at the Alabama Archives and History department for a lot of years. She was always very sweet, kind, interested in helping and just a very, very nice person. Grace Trammell told me that she had passed away. So, very sorry to hear it. She was a very special person.

I had never met Rickie in person but recently I was given her name and # by an employee at Cullman museum in search of where to purchase a certain book. When I spoke with miss Brunner she was most helpful and kind and found out that she was from Cullman. I was really shocked and saddened to hear of her death. O wish I had got to meet her and person and know more about her. She seemed like such a kind person who truly enjoyed her job and helping others. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. My heartfelt condolences to Rickie's family. I worked with Rickie for more than 20 years, and during that time we became close friends. She was one of the most generous, caring people I have ever known, always willing and eager to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. Her friendship enriched my life immensely, and I will always remember her many kindnesses.

Rickie & I knew each other at the First Christian Church besides being from Cullman, too. My condolences go to the family especially with regard to this sudden passing. My 94 yr. old father-in-law was blessed starting yrs. ago by a group of caring members of the Montg. church who began eating out each Sun. to cheer him up during his new stage of life being a widower. Thank God for this group that included Rickie!
