Roy Powell Obituary
Roy Donald Powell of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 84.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Powell and Odessa Powell; and his brothers, Bobby Powell, Charles Powell, and Harold Powell.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Powell; children, Donna Powell Williamson, Terry Powell, and Renee Powell Free; sister, Evelyn Pemberton; grandchildren, Ronald(Angie) Williamson, Donald Williamson, Michael Williamson, Cody Powell, Kristin Free, and Katelyn Free.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ronald Williamson, Donald Williamson, Michael Williamson, Cody Powell, Jimmy Flowers, and Timothy Flowers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 2:00-3:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will be in the chapel at 3:00pm with Rev. Mike Northcutt officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr Roy was my favorite greeter at Walmart. I was sad when he told me that he was leaving Ann St and going to another location. He will be truly missed. God bless and console his friends and family.

My Roy was a very nice man. I remember when I would go to the store where he used to work and he would greet me with kind words. He's in the arms of Jesus now. Rip mr Roy.

Though you never knew me since I was one of the thousands whom you greeted each day with sincere friendship at the store. You can never be replaced there and will be remembered for your words, "welcome to WalMart". May God now "welcome YOU to his arms." You are truly blessed and loved.
