Mrs. Angelia (Angie) Mercer-Mattson, age 50, of Pace FL peacefully took God's hand on 18 May 2012 following a courageous five-year battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 26 May 2012, at 1pm at Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL with Reverend Tim Thompson officiating.

Survivors include her parents, Lou and Jim Mercer (Wetumpka); devoted husband, Scott Mattson (Pace, FL); two brothers, Jim Mercer (Chris, Kyle, Bryce, and Laura) Utah; Mike Mercer (Vicki, Sarah, James) Virginia; Stepdaughter Jillian Mattson-Webb, Stepson Jesse Mattson and Grandson Tristen Webb (Pensacola, FL); four aunts, Marilyn Knight (Jack), Susie Fruge (Dale), Angie C. Mercer, and Lorelle Augostine; one uncle, Robert O. Horne (Marsha); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
Angie was a graduate of Bloomington North High School (IN), held a BA from the University of South Florida, an MA from Auburn University, Montgomery and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing MI. Prior to receiving her law degree, she worked with the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts in Montgomery. Licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama, she served as Assistant District Attorney of Alabama's 19th Circuit (Wetumpka), and prior to her retirement due to failing health, Angie was Senior Associate at the Law Firm of Young, Bill, Fugett, and Roumbos (Pensacola).
