ADAMS, Dorothy Massey, passed away December 15, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born in Troy, AL on July 11, 1925 to George Oscar and Mary Andrews Massey, the youngest of seven children. A lifelong resident of Montgomery, Dot worked for many years in the retail business as a Ladies' Ready to Wear Associate at Lovemans, Montgomery Fair, Gayfers, and A Nachman, in addition to raising four children and caring for an invalid mother. She wore many hats and had many names—Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mama, Grandma, Aunt Dot to many much loved nieces and nephews and Dot-Dot to all her great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Sisters, Foy Fulmer and Fannie Capps, Brothers, Curtis, Jim, John and Cecil Massey, the father of her children, James M Adams, Sr. and Sons James M Adams Jr. (Butch) and Darrell Guilliams. She is survived by her children, Carol Guilliams, Molly (Louie) Barrentine and Dick Adams, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel with Funeral Services, with Rev. James J. Wilson officiating, following at 2:00 PM. Mama's favorite color was red so please wear something red in her honor as we say our last goodbyes. Just saying Thank You seems inadequate in expressing our gratitude for the loving care and support received from the staff of Wetumpka Health and Rehabilitation over the years of Mama's illness, but we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. A special thanks also to Kristie and Cheryl of Comfort Care Hospice. Pallbearers will be Richard Adams, Justin Payne, Christopher Youngblood, Stephen Youngblood Jr., Julius Blount Jr., and Casey Rollan.
