Obituary Condolences

Gholston, Emma Ann (affectionately known as "Mama "G"), was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 21, 2012. Mama "G" was loved by many. She was well known for her bright smile and kind heart. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Baptist Church, Pike Road, AL with Pastor Sylvester Poole, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery with Massey Memorial Funeral Home, directing. Mrs. Gholston will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Mama "G" leaves to cherish her memories an adopted sister: Ms. Rosa Sanders. One devoted adopted son: Pastor Sylvester (Veronica) Poole, Sr. Five loving daughters: Barbara (Tim) Brown, Alma Ford, Luella Giles, Helen Kimball, all of Montgomery Alabama, and Carmen Gholston (Pike Road, AL); Nine grandchildren: James Cook (Houston, TX), Tondameria Dudley (Montgomery, AL), Trendle (Jeremy) Samuel, (Tuscaloosa, AL), Tarkesha (Marcus) Webb, Ta'Leigh Crawford, Toya Gholston, Tiffany Crawford, Teryance Singleton, and Daryl McCloud all of Montgomery, AL. Thirteen great grandchildren: Whitley Cook, Te'meria Dudley, Cedric Barnes, Jr., Akeem Dudley, Derrick Cook, Marcovia Singleton, Mia Samuel, Isaiah Cook, Tre'Marcus Webb, LaDarrion McCloud, Kaylen Paige Sims, Donovan James Gholston-Webster, and London Olivia McCloud. Special friends: The "Golden Girls" of St. Paul Baptist Church. A loving and caring neighbor, Mr. James "Peter" Sanders. A host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to the physicians and nurses at Baptist South and Fresenius Dialysis Clinic.
