Mr. John Herbert Clark, Sr., 79, a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. J. and Ruth Clark and his only brother C.J. Clark, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Clark and his children, Pamela Clark Raymond, John H. Jr. (Emily) Clark, Bryan (Cindy) Clark, David (Heather) Clark and grandchildren, Mitchell (Alicia) Beasley, Matthew Raymond, Kristina Day, John H. Clark III, Casey Clark, Cameron Clark, Carson Clark, Cole Clark, Conner Clark and Corbin Clark, great grandchildren, Niiyo Day, Andrew Day, Andrew Bills, Johnny Clark, Chase Clark, Brandon Beasley and Ella Brook Beasley and many, many friends. He was a successful businessman in many areas and the founder of Imperial Mailbox Systems in Millbrook, AL since 1985, which is a family business still in operation by his children today. He was a devout member of the Millbrook First United Methodist Church and served on many church committees that he and his wife supported during his lifetime. His hobbies included travel, camping, fishing, boating, fly tying, and time on his farm in Luverne, AL. He was talented in many areas including engineering, manufacturing, business planning, mechanical repairs and mentor to many. He knew enough about everything to accomplish any goal he set his mind to. Other than his wife and children, his greatest pleasures were filled by his Chihuahua babies, Sandy, Precious and Dolly. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 1-2 p.m. at Brookside funeral home. Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be at 2 p.m. with Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. The burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class of Millbrook First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Millbrook First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3350 Edgewood Road, Millbrook, AL 36054.
