Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.) Kenneth Wayne Robertson, 72, of Montgomery, AL, passed away May 16, 2013. He was one of six sons born to William Eugene Robertson and Allie Maureen Robertson of Gadsden, AL., both deceased. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Robertson; two sons, Scott Robertson of Cumming, GA. and Stewart Robertson of Bradenton, FL.; two daughters-in-law Peggy Robertson of Cumming, GA and Cindy Robertson of Bradenton, FL and four granddaughters Elisabeth Robertson, Lauren Robertson, Mallory Robertson, and Lindsey Robertson; brothers Bill Robertson of Hollywood, AL. and Tommy Robertson of Kennesaw, GA. He was preceded in death by three brothers Johnny Robertson, Jerry Robertson, and James Robertson. Ken was an officer in the United States Air Force, serving our country on many tours of duty including Germany, Philippines, Vietnam and Korea before completing his service at Maxwell Air Force Base s Air War College and Air Command and Staff College. After retiring from the Air Force, Ken held the positions of Comptroller and Assistant Director at the Housing Authority in Montgomery. After retiring a second time, Ken assisted with the family business Jo s Hallmark. During his struggle with Parkinson s disease Ken displayed a tremendously positive attitude while dealing the difficulties the disease caused, never complaining. Those who knew Ken, knew a very gentle and kind man that loved his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, great father, grandfather and great friend. He definitely set an example of what an honorable man should be. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice, caregivers Yvonne Morris, Sheila Tolliver and Tanya Welch.

A Memorial Service and celebration of Ken s life has been scheduled for Sunday May 26th, at 2:00pm, in the Chapel at Frazer Memorial Methodist Church in Montgomery where Ken was a longtime member. Honorary pallbearers will be Good Morning Kiwanis Club and Parkinson s Support Group.
