Lawrence "Larry" Carroll McGinn, 82, a resident of Montgomery, passed away June 30, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday at 10:00 am with funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St Bede Catholic Church with Father Carucci officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Larry was born in Birmingham, AL December 20, 1929.

He graduated from Spring Hill College, Mobile, AL. He served as an officer in the Korean War. Larry was a successful entrepreneur at Bass Lumber Company in Wetumpka, AL, for 58 years. His business endeavors included lumber, pallets, and sawmills.

He was loved and respected by his family, friends, & business associates for his exceptional generosity and positive outlook on life.

He is preceded in death by his parents Michael E McGinn and Mary Louise Osment McGinn. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Yvonne "Bunny" Laun McGinn. He was a wonderful father to two daughters: Beth Meullen (GV), Hoover, AL, and Melanie Bunting (Mark), Mobile, AL, two sons: Mike McGinn, Phoenix, AZ, Pat McGinn (Casie), Montgomery, AL.

He is also survived by one sister, Louise McGinn Arnold, Montgomery, grandchildren, Derek and Jay Meullen, Kelly and Geoffrey Bunting, Heather, Patrick Jr, and Garrett McGinn.

The family requests memorials be made to St Bede Church, St Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Charities, Montgomery Catholic Prep School, Wetumpka Lions Club, or Spring Hill College.
