CARTWRIGHT, Lowell N., was born into the world on February 17, 1920 in Rising Son, Indiana and passed to his eternal reward on the 15th of May, 2013 at his Sylacauga residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. from Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Dykes officiating. Burial will follow in Wetumpka City Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his parents Malcolm and Clara Cartwright; brothers Robert and Malcolm Cartwright Jr; wives, Francis Law Cartwright and Catherine M. Cartwright. He is survived by his daughters, Dinah C. (Jerry) Dykes, of Sylacauga, and Janet (Danny) Aylor of Murchison, Texas and son Richard L. (Patty) Cartwright of Titus, Alabama; grandchildren: Kimberly E. McMillan (Mark) of Crawfordville, Florida, David C. Dykes (Susan) of Fultondale, Alabama and Ruth L. Aylor of Murchison, Texas; great grandchildren, Emily and Ben McMillan of Crawfordville, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cartwright is a Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired after twenty years of service in the U.S. Army. The family would like to send a special Thank You to the Coosa Valley Hospice Nurses and Staff.
