Margaret Woodall "Nannie" Perry, 90, a resident of Wetumpka Health and Rehab, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Mrs. Perry was born on October 26, 1922, in Chambers County, Alabama. Mrs. Perry was the daughter of William Oscar Woodall, Sr. and Ocie Mae Freeman Woodall. She was a resident of Tuskegee for over 30 years before retiring to Panama City, Florida, and later moving to Montgomery, Alabama. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuskegee.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 22, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Corbitt's Funeral Home in Tuskegee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 11 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Tuskegee with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuskegee Cemetery.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her son, James Richard Perry, Jr. (Linda) of Franklin, AL; two daughters, Peggy Perry Mooneyham of Montgomery, AL, and Susan Perry DeSantis (Joe) of Guntersville, AL; daughter-in-law, Janice Taylor Perry of Franklin; granddaughters, Wendy Perry and Beverly Jo Carswell; grandsons, Rob (Kris) Perry, Rhett (Nousa) Perry and Michael (Kerri) Perry; 3 great-grandchildren, Tori Carswell, Heidi Perry, and Adam Perry; and very close family members, Joe and Lana Taylor Jackson and their family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Perry, Sr.; son, Robert Y. "Bob" Perry; five brothers, Sam, Freeman, Paul, Claude, and Bandy Woodall; and four sisters, Dollie Phipps, Ruth Higdon, Pauline Hellums, and Joy Dirkison. Pallbearers will be Rhett Perry, Michael Perry, Rob Perry, Brad Jackson, Mitch Woodall, Jr. and Johnny Woodall.
