Marjorie Ann Grewelle (McGee), 75, died peacefully on March, 21st after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Anna Marjorie McGee of Exeter, California. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry Grewelle, her son, John Grewelle (Marla), and her granddaughter, Katharyn Tessa Grewelle. After being born and raised in Exeter, California, she went to Oregon State University, where she joined the Alpha Phi Sorority and later met Larry. After graduation, they were married in Athens, Greece in 1964. Following Larry's career, they proceeded to travel and live around the world. (Reportedly, she and Larry introduced the 'twist' to Madrid in 1965.) They finally settled here in Montgomery, where they became active members of the community. She was a gifted artist, gourmet cook, and hostess. Her love of books, international travel, and breadth of knowledge was phenomenal. Always ready to share a laugh and conversation, she could always light up a room with her presence. Memorial gifts can be made to "Heifer International" or "Planned Parenthood." A memorial service will be held at a later date.
