Stephen Carter Bryden of Montgomery, AL died suddenly on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was 69. Mr. Bryden was born on August 13, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. He was the son of the late Carter Richard & Caroline Bryden. He served 25 years in the United States Air Force and then served 23 years with the US Postal Service before retiring to play golf full time. Mr. Bryden was married to Lynell Bryden for 48 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Jim) Lemerand of Wyandotte, MI, and Michele (Ray) Rogers of Wetumpka, AL; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Stephanie, Kelsey, Anna, Forest, Stephen, and Gered; Two brothers, Bruce (Helen) Bryden of Chestertown, MD, David (Pam) Bryden of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Susan (Fred) Brown of Gambrills, MD, and several nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00pm at Dalraida United Methodist Church with full military honors. Lynell and family,
I am Sis Hadaway Williams. I was a classmate of Steve's, class of "62.
Steve and our Commerical Class in high school (CHS) were all very close
friends. I enjoyed seeing him at our last class reunion. The class of '62
sends our sincere sympathy to you and your family. I know your pain, as
I just lost my husband of 50yrs. (Harry T. Williams) in June 2014.

I worked with Stephen for 10 years at Cloverland Post Office and he was a nice coworker. It seem liked yesterday that I saw him at Bubba's service. May God grant you all the strength and peace during your hours of bereavement.
