NADEAU, Teresa Ann, of Montgomery died peacefully Saturday, Nov 16, 2013 after a long and hard-fought battle with Scleroderma. She was born on Feb. 8, 1956 in Montgomery. Teresa attended St Bede's Elementary, Montgomery Catholic High and the University of South Alabama in Mobile. After earning her degree, she was a teacher at St. Thomas Elementary school in Chickasaw, AL. An accomplished artist, she also loved people, music, travel, and the outdoors. Teresa enjoyed a real exuberance for life, family, friends and a spontaneous sense of adventure. She had a strong faith in Christ, and was a thoughtful and considerate friend to many.

Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Alex and survived by her mother Jean, brothers Steve (and wife Alison), Mike (and wife Darlene), Jeff, Philip (and wife Karen), her sister Julie Schifer (and husband Larry), her 'sister' Therese Catt-Williams and her former husband Kenny Gurley. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kevin, Bennett, Elliott, Emily, Victoria, Rileigh, Amanda, Alex, Grace, Tracy, and Travis (and wife Leigh) and Gray. Teresa was comforted by many wonderful care-givers who exhibited tireless devotion and compassion.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, 4:30 - 6:30 pm at the Parish Hall at St. Bede's Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Nov 20, at 11 am at St Bede's, with a luncheon immediately following in the Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Scleroderma Foundation at www.scleroderma.org.
