LAMBERT, Billy Roger (Bill), Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, Ret., passed away February 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held at Southern Memorial February 11, 2014 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alabama Nation Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Louise Lambert. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Black (Russell); son, Billy G. Lambert (Paulette); grandchildren, Christine Robinson (Eric), Rachel Carden, Matthew Cherry (Brittany), Nicholas Lambert, Timothy Lambert, Heather Lambert; great grandchildren, Silas Cherry and Miri Cherry. Mr. Lambert was a man of service. He served in both, the active Air Force and Alabama Air National Guard which also included many years of service as a civil engineer at Maxwell Air Force Base. Mr. Lambert was a veteran of the Viet Nam War having served in country in direct support of Red Horse operations at Tan Son Nhut Air Base Saigon.
