WILCOX, Mary Jane Affholder, 89, passed away February 10, 2014 at Merry Wood Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony, Sr. & Lillian Affholder; her 1st husband, James R. Wallace, II; her 2nd husband, Dr. Glenn Wilcox; 2 brothers, and her sister. Survivors include her children, James R. Wallace, III. of Charleston, SC & Jan Wallace Johnson of Lafitte, LA; granddaughters, Jennifer, Anne, & Caroline Wallace of Charleston, SC, Stella Ballay of Belle Chase, LA, and Lillie Johnson of New Orleans, LA; grandson, Travis N. Johnson, III who is on the U.S.S. George Washington in the Pacific; great-grandchildren, Rusten & Catherine Ballay of Belle Chase, LA, Jackson & Baker Wallace of Charleston, SC; brother, Richard R. (Louise) Affholder of Springfield, MO; numerous cousins, and her companion of 10 years, Lewie Crisman. Mary Jane was a Baptist Hospice volunteer for over 25 years, a Help-A-Crisis volunteer for 15 years and a member of Aldersgate UMC. Her Memorial Service will be Friday, Feb. 21st at 5:00pm at Aldersgate UMC with the family receiving friends beginning at 4:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Rivers Crisman Memorial Scholarship Trust, AWF United Methodist Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 8066, Dothan, AL 36304.
