Teresa McClain Bowman a resident of Atlanta, GA formerly of Montgomery, AL, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was born April 26, 1965 in Sarasota, Florida to Houston McClain, Sr. and the late Queen E. Miles. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie F. McBride officiating. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery with The Historical Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Tuscaloosa, AL Directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Avery Bowman, Atlanta, GA; father, Houston McClain, Sr., Mt. Andrews, AL; two caring sons, William Smiley, Jr. and Denzell Antwana Bowman, both of Atlanta, GA; one adoring new grandson, Zaiden Bowman, Atlanta, GA; four loving and devoted sisters, SFC (Ret.) Celestina (Elbert) Clark, Columbus, GA, Belinda (Tyrone) Adams, Prattville, AL, Paralee McKinnie, Auburn, AL, Nisa (Keith) Ford, St. Petersburg, FL; one brother, Herbert (Karen) Dates, East Chicago, IL; grandmother, Sarah Miles, Atlanta, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be truly missed.
