Lampkin, Mr. Essex B., II, 90, a resident of Tuskegee Inst., AL. died Wednesday March 19, 2014 in Montgomery, AL. Funeral services will be held Friday March 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Harold H. Lusk, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with The Peoples Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday March 28, 2014 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at The Peoples Funeral Home chapel.

Essex leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Hattye F. Lampkin of Tuskegee Institute, Alabama; five beloved and cherished children, Rosa Leveta (Jimmie) Jackson of Opelika, AL, Essex Bartholomew (Lucretia) Lampkin, III of Riverdale, GA, Michael Philip Lampkin of Tuskegee Institute, AL, Phyllis Michelle Cooks of Montgomery, AL and Margaret Elizabeth Lampkin of Notasulga, AL; two sisters, Iona Ash of Cleveland, OH and Lillian Williams of Philadelphia, PA; 12 cherished grandchildren, Temujin (Julia) Hicks, Etienne (Tara) Jackson, Essex B. (Nicole) Lampkin IV, Xavier (Mariana) Lampkin, Zachary Lampkin, Biancaja (Timothy) Sugars, Stanley Cooks II, Cesare' Cooks, Jasmine Walker, Eugene Moore III, Christopher Moore, and Myla Stafford; 11 beloved great grandchildren, Peyton and Julius Hicks, Trinity and Etienne II Jackson, Noah and Zoe Lampkin, Briahna, Timaia, and Timothy Jacob Sugars, Antwan and Nylah Cooks, Jordan Walker and Timothy Maximus McDade; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
