Peggy Lee Watson James was born in Newnan, GA. on June 16, 1947 to Winton Harold & Jenelle Witcher Watson & died Wednesday, on April 16, 2014 while hospitalized from Amyloidosis, a rare protein disorder. Services will be held Saturday, April 19 at 11am at Leak Memory Chapel followed by a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on this date at 10:00am.

Peggy, a dental hygienist for 42 years, worked for doctors Joseph Stewart, Richard Vann, Heather Thornton & Jim Jenkins.

She was married to realtor Rex Allan James of Omaha, Nebraska. They were married for 18 years & resided in Montgomery & Wetumpka.

She enjoyed her church (First Christian Church, Montgomery), her family, her grandchildren, her friends, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, her co-workers and patients, golf, the beach, gardening and birds, and Auburn University football.

Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Winton Harold Watson; her brother, W. H. "Chip" Watson, Jr. & her niece, Ashley Shea Fitzgerald. She is survived by her husband, Rex James; her sons, Brad Armagost (Grace Ann), Roger Rendleman (Julie), Brian Armagost, Ryan Rendleman (Tina) & stepdaughters, Erin Schmidt (Jake) & Amie James (Justin); her mother, Jenelle Witcher Watson; her sisters & brother, Marsha Fitzgerald, Nancy Koontz (Lloyd) & Montie Watson (Kathy); her grandchildren, Chandler & Cole Armagost, Annsley Rendleman, Emily & Elizabeth Eubank, Daniel Armagost, LeAnn, Katie, Rachel & Joy Rendleman, Asher Hoffman, Evelyn & Owen Ferron, Samantha & Tristan Schmidt & several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.

Pallbearers will be Rex James, Brad Armagost, Roger Rendleman, Brian Armagost, Ryan Rendleman & Montie Watson.

Flowers will be accepted or, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation (amyloidosis.org), the Jackson Hospital Foundation, Montgomery, AL and/or First Christian Church, Montgomery, AL.
