W.C. "Curly" Turner, 64, of Montgomery, passed from this life on April 21, 2014. He was born on November 26, 1949, and graduated from Alabama Christian High School and Harding University, and received a M.Ed. from Troy University.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra Echols Turner. He was an educator for thirty years and taught school at Houston Hills, Patterson, and Goodwyn. He also coached football at Goodwyn. Curly was a long-time member of Dalraida Church where he served as a deacon.
Curly was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Tom) Webster and a son, Phillip (Samantha) Turner. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Hunter Webster, Brady Webster, Chasen Webster, Alexis Turner, and Kassity Turner. Curly is also survived by one brother, Roy (Mary) Casey and four sisters, Margie Casey, Glenda Downs, Sue (John) Winsted, and Linda Buckner and parents, James and Sue Crabtree, mother-in-law, Marie Echols, brother-in-law, Dr. Bobby (Carol) Echols and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11:00 at Dalraida Church of Christ with Minister Doug Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Dalraida Church of Christ on Thursday, April 24, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Talley, Richard Bailey, Harris McGough, Jimmy Dozier, Corky Morrison, LaDon Dansby, and Eddie Carr.
