Clifton Frank Meyer, formerly of Montgomery, entered Heaven on June 8th, 2014 in Jay, Florida. Mr. Meyer was born April 26th, 1920 in Woodbine, New Jersey to Jennie L. and Phillip L. Meyer. Mr. Meyer and his family later moved to Tampa, Florida where he graduated from Hillsborough High School and helped begin the family business Meyer's Nursery which still operates today. Mr. Meyer also served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He managed the Big Bear Supermarket on Mt. Meigs Road in Montgomery for many years before moving into a supervisory position with them in the final years of his career.
Mr. Meyer was an active member of Morningview Baptist Church in Montgomery where he also served as a deacon and in various ministries of the Church until his health declined. For the past few years, Mr. Meyer enjoyed attending Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Jay, Florida with his daughter and son-in-law.
Mr. Meyer was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Weathers Meyer, parents, brothers Phillip W. Meyer and Marshall Meyer, and sister Leola Meyer Arnold. He leaves behind his daughter, Beth and son-in-law Lennie Howard; grandson, Heath Howard; granddaughter Leah (Louie) Hartley; great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
