Sanders, Grace G., 82, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away at a local hospital on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Leak-Memory Chapel with Dr. Karl Stegall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday June 13, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel.

Mrs. Sanders retired from the Montgomery County Board of Education where she served as a secretary and a library clerk. Later, the arrival of her grandchildren blessed her life with a new dedication and she was cherished by each of them and is still today.

To know Grace was to understand three things, she loved the Lord, her family and her country. She was also was an active member in her church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Joe C. Sanders. She is survived by two sons, Joe C. Sanders Jr. (Tina), Dave Sanders (Linda); daughter, Patricia Wyatt (Joe); brother, Tom Gamble (Trudy); sister, Betty Mitchell (Bud); eight grandchildren, James Sanders, Kelsey Clark (Elijah), Nick Wyatt, Matt Wyatt, Beth Wyatt, Cheryl Wood, Jason LaMarre and Scott LaMarre; two great grandchildren, Kaden LaMarre and Anna Grace LaMarre and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Casey Hobbs, Cory Hobbs, Pete Crews, Steve Hancock, Russ Holman, John Beck, Bob Rocheleau and Bil Hitchcock.
